GRONK – “LIVE” INSTALLATION

GRONK – “LIVE” INSTALLATION

Jul 19, 2011 to Feb 5, 2012

The Museum was pleased to host the internationally renowned artist Gronk as he painted a site specific and temporary wall painting inside The Museum. For two weeks in July, Gronk created a monumental mural in front of Museum visitors who were able to interact and engage him as he painted. His mural willl be available to view until February 2012.

In addition to creating paintings, prints and drawings included in major museum collections throughout the country, Gronk has created and presented performances and lectures around the globe. Gronk recently completed designing the set of the Santa Fe Opera's production of Vivaldi's Griselda directed by the critically acclaimed opera director Peter Sellars.
